Spoilers

A small comment. A sudden shift. And now I’m sitting in the in-between, wondering what it meant.

We were watching Master Chef after dinner—me, Anthony, and Isabelle.

Isabelle was on her phone, searching things about the recipes.

It was the final episode.

I told her, half-joking but also serious, “Be careful not to spoil anything.”

She got up and left. A little quiet. A little upset.

I didn’t mean to push her away.

I thought I was being light.

Now I’m sitting here wondering—

Should I have said it differently?
Should I have let it go?
Should I go upstairs and apologize?

I’m not sure.

Parenting teens is like that.

Sometimes a small moment flips, and you don’t even know why.

I’ll check in with her later.

For now, I’m just sitting in that in-between space—where maybe I did the right thing.

And maybe I didn’t.
