I remember toy chainsaws as a kid in 70s K Marts. They Weren't such faithful replicas of Robert Bosch Tools, but they were well-received like Tonka Trucks.

What disturbs me is the combinations of to-be-purchased items in checkout lanes. I've seen a guy with snake feeder mice and a slingshot and once, I saw a guy buy a clown mask, a Barbie doll to pay for. At the pharmacy. I know, you're allowed to buy one or two small items at the pharmacy ring-out, but I was tempted to see if this guy had a panel truck. Less disturbing was decaf instant and non-alcoholic beers at the grocery.

Sorry to spoil the evaporated goat milk thing, but goat's milk is okay for people who are allergic to cow's milk (not to be confused with lactose intolerance). So using evaporated goat's milk in a recipe instead of evaporated milk would make it okay for people with that condition to eat. It still contains lactose, but some people are allergic to cows milk but not lactose intolerant.

Why would you let your kid play with the toy chainsaw? You can get almost every single tool made in a kid/toy version. Remember, it's not the chainsaw that kills, it's the person using the chainsaw. Buy your kid a toy gun, he'll be better off.

I had to drop my kid off at Kindergarten for the first time. Watching her stand there, scared and alone with silent tears streaming down her eyes, absolutely killed me this morning. I had sunglasses on, and it's a good thing. None of those mom's saw my eyes well up.

Boogers. YouTube quality failed to impress, and the Flickr video cuts off before half of the video plays. Apparently they cap the time limit?

I'm trying to publish another video with better quality settings. YouTube isn't doing it for me.

The difference we saw in Sean before tubes and after tubes was nothing short of astounding. Sean has a high pain tolerance, so we wouldn't even know he had an ear infection unless we were at the Dr. anyway for a check up (with one notable exception of pus pouring out of his eye while Christmas shopping!).
After tubes, our little man BURST into the most verbal kid on the planet - he said the alphabet within a week and could count to 20 within days (he had just turned 2).
Without a doubt it was the best thing we did for our son. Cam will one day thank you as well!

Aww he looks so peaceful. I know when my son had his tubes put in, they cleaned out all of the gunk so he had almost "instant" relief.

Our lives changed a LOT after Aerik's surgery, for the better.

Great pics! My bestfriend lives in Groton, CT and spent several years volunteering at the Mystic Aquarium. The last visit we made I got to go and it's a terrific spot. Did Camden like the seal lions, too? I remember a few kept sticking their tongues at us: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rmonkeygirl/297021206/in/set-72157594448459704/
