You can always tell the days when I don’t really feel like working on anything. It’s those days I end up with multiple videos posted up here on A Dad’s Blog.

Today we went over to the same playground as yesterday. The playground is located at the same place we went for a Sunday walk that I blogged about back in August when I also got these photos.

It was cold. Really cold. We spent at least an hour at the same playground yesterday, but I’m not sure we even spent a half hour today. I guess fall in New England is here with certainty.

Anyway, here’s a video I quickly cropped together and uploaded to flickr. I love the laughter on the swing. And at the end, I ask him to point out his six pack. He’s so perfect.

Camden was supposed to be Goofy for Halloween.  Tonight was also the night that Bethany and I were going to get Camden in costume, take some photos - and then have some fun in Photoshop.

Last year, we managed this graphic.  Once we had a decent photo, I added in the cats, finished it up and uploaded the file to CVS to have some high quality 4×6 photos printed.  The result was fantastic.

See? Told you so.

So that was the plan for this year.  Camden would be in his Goofy costume, and I’d make myself Mickey Mouse or a more awesome Disney chracter, while Bethany could be Minnie and the cats would be Chip and Dale.

So much for plans, right?

I guess it’s time to think about a plan B, eh?

Okay, time to reel it all back in and post some lighthearted fun.  Here’s a video I took and then edited tonight featuring Cam the Little Man himself splashing around in the tub.

My super awesome editing skills also allowed me to use an intro and fade out graphic along with music.  Yep, that $32,000 multimedia degree is SERIOUSLY paying off.

Just got back in from picking up some necessities at Target, and Camden was mad that he didn’t get to watch his Dora the Explorer DVD in the truck on the ride home.

It was promptly tossed into the DVD player once home, and I just got this video of the little man dancing Labor Day away.

Happy Labor Day!

Sometimes you have a day that you just need to end. Today is one of those days, and it began at 3:37AM.

Camden woke up screaming and had to go back to bed with his mother. Since I had already passed out on the sofa prior to that, it was pretty easy to crawl right back up into a ball and keep warm. Waking up on the sofa means just one thing… A couple of Advil in the morning and the stiff neck pain is gone. No harm, no foul.

Of course I couldn’t fall back to sleep easily once I woke up. So I did what any other technology dependent geek would do… I opened up my BlackBerry and started catching up on email and messages. Then I opened up the laptop.

By the time 4:30AM rolled around, I knew I was in for a really, really bad day. I could just feel it in the pit of my stomach - and it’s proven to be the right feeling some 17 hours later.

If there’s ever a way to smile though some tough times it is because of Camden. From playing with his toys to getting that ever so important hug — this little man has the ability to pick me back up again.

Here are a couple of photos from this evening and then a video of him eating his yogurt. While these may seem like nothing special, they were certainly the highlight of my day.

Here’s hoping that today is the end to this vibe and tomorrow brings some better things.
