Camden Does Have Clothes… Honest!

So, Matt, a colleague of mine told me to put some clothes on Camden after he checked out the site. Well, it’s the summer. Camden likes to drool a lot now that he’s teething. And he spits up alot.

And… We’re just not gonna put clothes on ‘em all the time at home if he’s comfortable. Still, to help ease Matt’s mind and others who had the same thought… here is some proof. Camden DOES have clothes.

Play Ball!

I’m a horrible father. This ball is a Backyardigan branded bouncer suited for children three years and up. Still, it’s a great exercise for Cam to improve his coordination as well as his ability to sit up on his own.

Pretty simple video here. I roll the ball to Cam, and he tries to grab it. A couple times, he not only grabs it, but sends it on back to me too.

Ribbit! HAHAHA!

This video was shot last week when my wife was hanging out with Camden and playing with a small stuffed frog rattle. Cam was in his little swivel chair, and all it took was a flick of the frog and a ribbit noise to make ‘em go nuts…

Bigs Bags the Britax Boulevard!

Bigs Bags the Britax Boulevard! While we’re in an apartment and living paycheck to paycheck like most Americans, I tend to disregard money when it comes to Camden’s safety. Cam has been riding in the SnugFit carrier / car seat / stroller system from Graco. While it has been great, he’s been getting too heavy and too long to stay in the Graco for any extended periods of time.

Knowing full well that we needed to upgrade, we started looking into the Britax convertible seats. Earlier today we decided to take advantage of Massachusetts’s tax free day along with some of his gift money from his baptism. At the end of the day, we owned a Britax Boulevard and paid less than $8 out of pocket.

The Britax is now installed in the Xterra, and so far Cam is loving the new seat. He’s sitting up a bit more, and words cannot describe the quality difference in the seats. If you’ve never taken a solid look at a Britax because of the price factor — do yourself the favor and just browse. Every detail has been covered, and the quality is amazing.

Being a convertible seat too, Cam can remain rear-facing until he’s a year or so old and then use the same seat in a forward facing position. The only cons that I’ve found so far was some limited rear view miirror obstruction. So, if you’re in the market for a new seat, give the Britax line a quick review, and I’m sure you’ll find them to be amazing…

Welcome to the Blog!

Hey readers, I’m Eric — a married 28 year old holding a marketing job at a Fortune 500.

Oh yeah, and I’m father to Camden.

When my wife was pregnant, all I heard was that my life would never be the same. I sort of brushed it off, because that’s what I’ve always done.

Then, on February 7th 2007… My life changed. In an instant.

You get the point, and if you’re here on the blog… you know what this site is all about.

So with that out of the way, let’s get blogging!
